Product Description

Allyl bromide, also known as 3-Bromoprop-1-ene (CAS number: 106-95-6) is manufactured, supplied and distributed worldwide by Apollo Scientific.

Allyl bromide is used in a variety of industries and applications, such as pharmaceuticals, biochemical, cosmetic, polymers, and much more.

Using a Suzuki-type coupling reaction, it can be used to synthesise stereo defined allylated arenes.

Allyl bromide can be used to synthesize a monomer, 1-1-(allyloxy)-4-nitrobenzene, or for the preparation of allyliczinc bromide by reacting it with zinc. It is also used in the preparation of allylethers or R enantiomer of allyl phenyl carbinol (APC), such as 1-phenyl-3-butene.

Apollo Scientific is one of the UK's leading chemical manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, with over 25,000 compounds as potential precursors in stock, and more than 3,000 diverse compounds created in our UK labs.
