Role:              F/T permanent 

Hours:        37.5 per week – Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm 

Salary:       £ 22,500 

Summary of role:  

We require an experienced Warehouse Technician to join our team at our Denton Site. Duties include dispensing and repackaging of chemicals. A numeric and methodical approach is required. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with experience in a similar role, however we will consider applicants with a similar skillset. 

Core Responsibilities   

  • Have the ability to identify and implement appropriate procedures detailed in the working procedures & SOP’s. 
  • Check chemical picked corresponds with worksheet. Evaluate the hazards of each chemical selecting the correct receptacle for the product. 
  • Dispense chemicals into receptacles whilst working in the fume hood. 
  • Produce product labels for bottled chemicals. 
  • Ensure all new items going into stock are labelled and packaged correctly (safely). 
  • Apply good housekeeping practices, taking responsibility for assigned tasks and adherence to the 5s Principles (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardise & Sustain) 
  • Ensure all new items going into stock are labelled and packaged correctly (safely). 
  • Identify and implement appropriate procedures for items requiring melting prior to dispensing as detailed in the working procedures & SOP’s. 
  • Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures and SOP’s including the wearing of the appropriate PPE for the task.  

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Previous experience in a bottling or similar environment preferred. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast – paced environment. 
  • Good organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Chemical Handling and hazard identification including dispensing chemicals, accurate measurement, and labelling. 
  • Experience of Athena / ChemWatch
