At Apollo, it is our ambition to support discovery in a way that impacts people and the planet in a positive way. In our mission to be the socially responsible partner of choice for high quality research chemicals, we have set ourselves ambitious targets, made bold decisions and accelerated action to improve our impact on the environment and community to create a better future.

We are pleased to publish our first corporate social responsibility report focusing on our environmental, ethical and social impact. The report aims to highlight the significant steps we have taken to improve the way we do business as we strive towards operating sustainably, outline clearly and transparently on the progress we have made and highlight our achievements of 2021.

The progress we have made and our achievements of 2021 are a result of the engagement, drive and hard work of our employees, suppliers, customers and partners embracing change, challenge and innovation to transform how we operate to become a more socially responsible, sustainable company.

Our highlights of 2021 are:

  • Established our staff matters group
  • Rated within the top 1% of companies for sustainability with an Ecovadis platinum rating.
  • Committed to becoming a signatory member of the UN Global Compact.
  • Switched to 100% renewable energy.
  • £2000 donated to support local and global charities.

As a company, whilst we are proud of what we have achieved so far, we also recognise that we cannot stand still and are aware of the challenges the world around us continues to face. It is within this that we are committed to building upon this progress to accelerate further action to advance a healthier, sustainable and equitable future.

Neil Hamilton, CEO / President said “The release of Apollo’s first CSR report is an important milestone in our quest to be transparent and accountable within our Sustainability aims. It is testament to the hard work all our staff have shown in recent years to imbed this culture within our company DNA to help shape our decision-making. We look forward to continuing to develop and progress our objectives, reporting on these through subsequent annual publications, working with our valued supplier and customer base, as well as all stakeholders at large, to ensure a better future for all.”
