Vacancy: Procurement Coordinator 

Role:                F/T permanent 

Hours: 37.5 per week – Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm 

Salary: £ 23,000k PA 

 

Summary of role:  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for chemistry graduate to join our Purchasing team in an entry level Procurement Coordinator role. Our team of Procurement Coordinators are responsible for all day to day purchasing within the company, dealing with a global supply chain, to ensure that all products procured are off the highest quality and delivered in a cost effective and timely manner. 

Core Responsibilities   

  • Manage and maintain stock levels to meet customer demands. 
  • Generate and process purchase orders. 
  • Ensure suppliers follow delivery schedules and product requirements. 
  • Procure required goods and materials in a cost-effective manner. 
  • Build and develop relationships with current and new suppliers within our supply chain. 
  • Evaluate supplier performance and report to management. 
  • Work closely with associated teams to identify and source new products. 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Chemistry or Life Science degree. 
  • IT skills – Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 
  • Problem solving ability. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent team working and relationship building skills. 
  • Organised, self-motivated, with an ability to multi-task. 
  • A systematic and conscientious approach to work. 
  • Good communication and time management skills.
